A Few of My Favorite Things (Christmas Edition)
I love my house in Tropic at Christmas time! It's so cozy and christmassy! :) There are a few decorations that go up every year...
The Caroling Family on our piano...
Our Count Down to Christmas Eve Calendar (with a cute little mouse you put in the pockets)...

Our Santa display above the rock fireplace my Grandpa LeFevre built, and the mom-made stockings, and of course the cozy fire to warm up next to...
Our Christmas Nativity Advent Calendar Uncle Lyle's family gave to us years ago (we had to take turns putting the little nativity figures up each day cause we all wanted to)...

My mom's Christmas Village, such a fun tradition...
And of course my most favorite decoration in the house, our Avon Nativity Scene. It's the most beautiful nativity I've seen and every year we'd help unpack the figures from their boxes and hand them to mom to place above the tv, They are ceramic so we'd have to be super careful not to drop them. I'm so glad that my mom helped us treat the nativity with such care, I don't know if she meant it to or not, but it gave me a deeper understanding of what we should be focusing on at Christmas time.
I was able to get a few days off for the Christmas break and I'm so glad! I might be a working 'grown up' now but I'm not ready to give up feeling like a little kid in my house at Christmas quite yet :)

Give Thanks...
Okay so I've decided I'm not so good at this whole blogging thing!
But with only 8 days left until Turkey Day I wanted to count my blessings and make note of the things I'm grateful for...

Family who is there for me in every stage of my life. Who understand, appreciate, and love me unconditionally. For amazing sisters I can turn to for advise and friendship, awesome brothers who I look up to (literally), and admire. A neice who reminds me to be a good example and a nephew I haven't met yet but love so much. And of course my parents who believe in me. I owe everything to them and could not possibly pay them back for the things they have done for me.
For music that moves my feet, lifts my spirits, and turns a frown upside down. For friends who share the good, the bad, and the ugly and still stick around.
I'm thankful for laughing :)
I'm thankful to be working! I'm grateful for being done with hair school and the challenge of starting a career and becoming successful, and for those who have helped me get this far and encourage me to be my best.
I'm thankful for the seasons, the change and energy each new one brings. I love winter for the snow and snowboarding. I love spring for the rejuvinating feeling of starting over. I love summer for the warm late nights and freedom. I love fall for the leaves, sweaters and boots, and holiday food and family time.
I know we all start to reflect on what we're grateful for this time of year and I hope that we can write a few of those things down, enjoy the food, and create fun memories with family and friends this Thanksgiving. But also I hope we can each find time to make those people in our lives thankful for us... do something unexpected...make somebody's day!

My Crazy Life
Oh man! so much has happened since I last posted so here's a short re-cap...
I got to spend a week in California with my school in January. We went to the ISSE Hair show and then spent 3 days in Disney Land. (it was my first time, I even got a button that says so!)
In February I turned the big 21!! And don't worry, I did get to use my ID...I got pulled over! haha
I fell like March flew by so fast because I was out of town pretty much every weekend and school has consumed my week days but I finally hit my 1,000 hour mark (half way!) so it's been worth it.
April started with me moving into a super cute town home and ended with the best weekend! It started with seeing all of the LeFevre family, unfortunately it was at my cousin Micheal's funeral which was so sad and still pretty unreal! After, mom and Lesha drove to Provo and spent the night at my new place. Friday was Women's Conference so Leslie met us and we spent the day walking all around BYU's campus, taking notes, laughing, and crying. It was really a great day!
That night we celebrated both Leslie's b-day and my mom's b-day at the Mayan and watched How To Train Your Dragon. And what's a weekend with the LeFevre girls if there's no shopping (retail therapy) involved?! We really are so good at marathon-shopping!
so now I'm just back to my 12 hour days at school and Gold's Gym workouts trying to get ready for MEXICO!!!! 28 days left! So excited! That will probably be my next post, so until then...

Perfect Time of Year
I just got back from a 5 day, amazing Thanksgiving break with the family in Kanab. It really was so good to see all the extended family, make and eat the best food ever made, and also reflect on everything I'm so grateful for. Just little things like knowing I'm right where I'm suppose to be, doing what I love to do, finding amazing friends that help me get through the rough days and learning from the lows. Amazing support from my parents and family, good health and all the other blessings and tender mercies given to me daily.
I definitely came back to a busy week though! School started at 9 in the a.m. and went until 9 p.m. 3 days, I'm getting my hours fast but man I'm looking forward to the weekend! lol
The best part about this time of year is turning our thoughts of what fun things I would love to have, to what would make someone else happy. I love going to the mall and looking for other people! I can't wait to see my little brother's reaction when he opens his Christmas snuggie! haha
And even though I'm really not a fan of driving in the snow, I hope it snows at least once before Christmas day!
Anyways, I really am so thankful for my Savior! I know that he is considerate of me and knows what I need and just how much I can take. He knows how to put people in my life at just the right moment. His love is so real and unconditional and I am so humbled by His sacrifice for me.
I hope we can all embrace the magic of this time of year and share His love.
