New Salon Job!

So this was the first hair color I did at the new salon...no I didn't color Sarah Jessica Parker's hair but my awesome friend Katelin's hair turned out so similar to this picture, we were both super happy about the outcome! :)

I'm finally going to be back doing hair in the salon instead of out of my apartment! I'll be working every Monday Tuesday and Wednesday so call or comment for an appointment :)

I do men and women's hair cuts and color, extentions, updo's and styling, acrylic nails, and facial waxing.

Baby Luke

Baby Luke is the cutest little dude EVER!!

Lainey is such a cute big sister! She's all excited to teach him how to eat and play with her toys :)

We had so much fun with all the family together up north:) Leslie is so amazing, I love her and her family! I can't wait for all the snuggle time with that baby!

Give Thanks...

Okay so I've decided I'm not so good at this whole blogging thing!
But with only 8 days left until Turkey Day I wanted to count my blessings and make note of the things I'm grateful for...

Family who is there for me in every stage of my life. Who understand, appreciate, and love me unconditionally. For amazing sisters I can turn to for advise and friendship, awesome brothers who I look up to (literally), and admire. A neice who reminds me to be a good example and a nephew I haven't met yet but love so much. And of course my parents who believe in me. I owe everything to them and could not possibly pay them back for the things they have done for me.
My Testimony of our Savior and Heavenly Father. The consistency and comfort their love brings to a very uncertain and sometimes scary life. For the little tender mercies that remind me to rely on that testimony, and for the things I have learned from apostles and church leaders that have increased my knowledge and understanding of our Father's plan. I have enjoyed so many uplifting firesides and conferences living in Provo!I'm thankful for connections with friends and family all over the place. For pictures that hold memories and remind us where we come from. For lessons learned and the ability to change and grow, and for mistakes I haven't made yet.

For music that moves my feet, lifts my spirits, and turns a frown upside down. For friends who share the good, the bad, and the ugly and still stick around.

I'm thankful for laughing :)

I'm thankful to be working! I'm grateful for being done with hair school and the challenge of starting a career and becoming successful, and for those who have helped me get this far and encourage me to be my best.
I'm thankful for the seasons, the change and energy each new one brings. I love winter for the snow and snowboarding. I love spring for the rejuvinating feeling of starting over. I love summer for the warm late nights and freedom. I love fall for the leaves, sweaters and boots, and holiday food and family time.

I know we all start to reflect on what we're grateful for this time of year and I hope that we can write a few of those things down, enjoy the food, and create fun memories with family and friends this Thanksgiving. But also I hope we can each find time to make those people in our lives thankful for us... do something unexpected...make somebody's day!

My Crazy Life

Oh man! so much has happened since I last posted so here's a short re-cap...
I got to spend a week in California with my school in January. We went to the ISSE Hair show and then spent 3 days in Disney Land. (it was my first time, I even got a button that says so!)

In February I turned the big 21!! And don't worry, I did get to use my ID...I got pulled over! haha
I fell like March flew by so fast because I was out of town pretty much every weekend and school has consumed my week days but I finally hit my 1,000 hour mark (half way!) so it's been worth it.

April started with me moving into a super cute town home and ended with the best weekend! It started with seeing all of the LeFevre family, unfortunately it was at my cousin Micheal's funeral which was so sad and still pretty unreal! After, mom and Lesha drove to Provo and spent the night at my new place. Friday was Women's Conference so Leslie met us and we spent the day walking all around BYU's campus, taking notes, laughing, and crying. It was really a great day!
That night we celebrated both Leslie's b-day and my mom's b-day at the Mayan and watched How To Train Your Dragon. And what's a weekend with the LeFevre girls if there's no shopping (retail therapy) involved?! We really are so good at marathon-shopping!

so now I'm just back to my 12 hour days at school and Gold's Gym workouts trying to get ready for MEXICO!!!! 28 days left! So excited! That will probably be my next post, so until then...

Perfect Time of Year

I love this time of year SO much!

I just got back from a 5 day, amazing Thanksgiving break with the family in Kanab. It really was so good to see all the extended family, make and eat the best food ever made, and also reflect on everything I'm so grateful for. Just little things like knowing I'm right where I'm suppose to be, doing what I love to do, finding amazing friends that help me get through the rough days and learning from the lows. Amazing support from my parents and family, good health and all the other blessings and tender mercies given to me daily.
I definitely came back to a busy week though! School started at 9 in the a.m. and went until 9 p.m. 3 days, I'm getting my hours fast but man I'm looking forward to the weekend! lol

The best part about this time of year is turning our thoughts of what fun things I would love to have, to what would make someone else happy. I love going to the mall and looking for other people! I can't wait to see my little brother's reaction when he opens his Christmas snuggie! haha
And even though I'm really not a fan of driving in the snow, I hope it snows at least once before Christmas day!

Anyways, I really am so thankful for my Savior! I know that he is considerate of me and knows what I need and just how much I can take. He knows how to put people in my life at just the right moment. His love is so real and unconditional and I am so humbled by His sacrifice for me.

I hope we can all embrace the magic of this time of year and share His love.

It's about time!

So I think it's time I should update my blog...lol
I'm in Provo going to Renaissance Hair Academy, I've got about 300 hours under my belt...only 1,700 more to go! I really love school though! I think my favorite haircut so far has been a mullet for some high school boy, and my favorite color was a blond and violet design that turned out so pretty!
I'm living in the Glenwood apartments and love my ward! I'm a Family Home Evening Mom (group leader) and so far it's been pretty fun but I would love some ideas for new activities!

I really do feel that I am so blessed! My family is amazing and I'm so thankful for their support and love!

My First Blog :)

Hey everyone! I finally set up my own blog...mainly because it was our assignment for my dumb CSIS class... Thank heaven it's over! lol

So here's just a little bit about me:)

I have been going to SUU for 2 semesters and I'm a little sad that summer is almost here and I have to go back to work again :( I have had the BEST roomates anyone could ever ask for and probably way too much fun for my own good but that's what college is about right?!
I am going to be working at the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center with the NHA this summer so bring on the accents and crazy tourists! I am a HUGE fan of Ice cream, bonfires, chick-flicks, pizza, Cary Judd, and Allred! I also love being outside, going 4-wheeling, out to the ranches, watching football, baseball, basketball, track... pretty much any sport with manly men :)
This summer my big brother/hero is marrying his best friend and I couldn't be happier for them both! Seeing how cute they are together really makes me excited to find a boy that is head-over-heels for me!
I will be moving to Provo next fall to attend Renaissance Hair Academy and I will be needing lots of clients... I am way excited to be living so close to my amazing sister and neice but I will miss making the weekend trips to Tropic and seeing the family :(
So that's me in a nut shell :) xoxo
